Mexico: Employee at Mexico City Airport caught on runway with 300kg of cocaine in suitcases.

An employee of the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) was arrested on the runway of the airport with 300 kilos of cocaine divided into five suitcases. Sources close to the investigation reported that it is Arturo Hernández Garay, with number Identification Card Airport (TIA) 13848, an employee that is related to the Associate Director of Operations of the airport. Federal authorities sent luggage for X-ray inspection and found several packages of cocaine, which, according to estimates, would weigh 311 kilos jointly.  Authorities confirm that the smuggling activity involved commercial aviation, but did not release further details as the investigation is ongoing.
